The German brand HUGO BOSS was founded in 1924 in Württemberg, near Stuttgart. HUGO BOSS, the founder, opened a garment workshop and, with a staff of around 30, produced shirts, sportswear, workwear and linen. Hugo Boss died in 1948, and his son-in-law Eugen Holy took over the company.

In 1970, the HUGO BOSS Group was created by the founder's grandsons Uwe and Jochen Holy, born in 1940 and 1942 respectively. They oriented the brand towards men's ready-to-wear, following the market of the time. The clothes offered are trendy and at very low prices. The group hopes to regain a foothold in the German market.

After the recession of 1996, Uwe and Jochen Holy quickly sought to differentiate themselves from their competitors. The group modernizes its factories to produce men's suits of good quality, a younger cut than the suits available in German stores, durable fabrics and new colors with black, green, brown and blue. The brand's rise was meteoric, and the company took the opportunity to move production abroad. HUGO BOSS won new markets in Europe and in various American stores.

The label became the brand of a generation of executives, with garments made from Italian cotton, silk, wool or linen.

Over time, the brand invested in other markets. In 1975, with marketing manager and designer Werner Baldessarini, it launched a collection of shirts, underwear and accessories (sunglasses, ties, etc.).in 1998, women's clothing was designed with Hugo Woman, in 2008, jewelry, and in 2009, ready-to-wear for babies, children and teenagers took its place on the shelves of HUGO BOSS stores. For several years now, the "Hugo Boss Mobile Phone" has been added. As always, it brings a modern, sophisticated style to the HUGO BOSS line.
