History of the Tom Ford brand
Tom Ford began his adventure in fashion at Gucci in 1990, changing its image and leaving the company in 2004. He then decided to launch a brand of his own, and began by teaming up with Estée Lauder to design a line of beauty products, and with the Italian Marcolin group to manufacture a collection of luxury eyewear. And always in a sensual, glamorous style, Tom Ford creates perfumes, one of which, Black Orchid, is a hit.
Tom Ford wants to create "the luxury brand of the 21st century" and in 2007, he unveils his first menswear collection, as well as offering accessories and opening his first boutique. Tom Ford likes to provoke, and his creations appeal to lovers of understated luxury and vintage design.
