FACONNABLE eyewear frames
Jean Golberg was behind the creation of the Façonnable brand. In 1950, he opened a boutique in Nice, on the Côte d'Azur, where he made bespoke suits and quickly established a reputation for quality and refinement. His son, Albert, took over the boutique in 1961 and launched his own collection of elegant sportswear under the Façonnable brand, a reference to the word "façonner". In the 70s, Albert Golberg opened several boutiques in France, and by the end of the 80s, his elegant casual style was winning over men on the other side of the Atlantic, and he opened boutiques in the United States. The brand first targeted men, then diversified with collections for women and children and a wide range of accessories, shoes, bags, watches, perfumes and eyewear.
Today, Façonnable is French know-how and authenticity brought up to date in a masterly fashion. The brand was acquired by the M1 Group in 2007 and continues to perpetuate its talent in chic, dressy sportswear collections.
Façonnable: between refinement and trendiness
Façonnable eyeglass frames and sunglasses are simple and refined, and come in a range of lines crafted in a modern style and with quality finishes. Façonnable eyewear frames are mostly made of metal or acetate, and one line offers models in titanium and rubber for their lightness and comfort. Façonnable also offers a line for progressive lens wearers with a modern design and flexible temples. The Façonnable Jean's line is aimed at younger men, with models in cut metal and acetate in a variety of colors for a trendy, chic look.
Façonnable sunglasses are available in acetate in classic colors or in silver-plated metal. Shapes are inspired by vintage aviator or retro styles, with rather wide models. Another line of sunglasses is aimed at young urbanites, with trendy models and sophisticated but not ostentatious details. Most Façonnable sunglass frames can be fitted with corrective lenses.
