Born into a family of eyewear manufacturers, David Pellicer is the founder of ETNIA BARCELONA. At a very young age, he joined his father's company, working in all positions. When it was his turn to take the helm, he quickly set out to differentiate the company from its competitors by choosing frame designs with arty, original colors. Indeed, to date, over 500 references have been designed by his team of designers and produced in Mazzucchelli's acetate manufacturing plant in Italy. The brand also owes its success to the close ties that David Pellicer has forged over the years with photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, American journalist Steve McCurry and New York painter Jean-Michel Basquiat.
