2000s: Birth of Superdry

Returning from a trip to Tokyo in 2003, Julian Dunkerton and James Holder teamed up to create the Superdry brand. To this day, they remain the heart and soul of the label. Julian Dunkerton is brand and product director, while James Holder is in charge of the Superdry design laboratory. Julian Dunkerton opened his first cult clothing store in 1985, in Cheltenham, England, while James Holder created the Bench brand.

In just a few years, the two founders have established themselves on the market in over 100 countries worldwide, with more than 300 stores and 21 international websites.
