JEAN RENO eyewear
History of the Jean Reno brand
The history of Jean Reno eyewear dates back to the early 2000s. They are the fruit of an association between Jean Reno, one of France's most popular actors, designer Cendrine Obadia, manager Laurent Cohen and Patrick Uzan, manager and qualified optician. Together, they decided to launch a collection of modern, original yet wearable eyewear for a clientele that shuns uniforms.
Despite his star status, with over 50 films to his credit, Jean Reno doesn't usually lend his name to commercial products, but he makes an exception for glasses, because he's been wearing them since he was 12, and because they're part of his personality.
The style of Jean Reno frames
Jean Reno eyewear frames are the brainchild of Cendrine Obadia, a trained optician and designer who understands the constraints and ingredients required for a good pair of glasses.
Jean Reno by Cendrine O. frames are essentially metal, with highly structured, geometric shapes. Men's frames feature double temples and offset lenses. For women, frames combine metal and acetate, with wide, decorative temples featuring stylish cut-outs and bright colors.
Recently, a new collection of atypical acetate eyewear has appeared: the small round frame is still present, but a number of models in a variety of shapes are offered, with well-thought-out finishes and an offbeat design.
