The story of the Paul & Joe brand began in 2009 with Sophie Albou (better known as Sophie Méchaly), a fashion enthusiast. After studying management and journalism, learning the basics of her future profession at the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM), and completing a second cycle in Fashion and Business, she obtained an internship with Azzedine Alaïa. The latter is none other than the great Franco-Tunisian designer and couturier.

After this excellent experience, Sophie Méchaly joined her parents' family business, which had just created a brand of shirts under the name Le Garage. Having learned all the tricks of the trade, she decided to create her own ready-to-wear brand. The mother of two little boys, Paul and Joe, she named her brand after her two sons.

Sophie Méchaly travels, enjoys herself, has taste and, above all, style. She stands out for her young, fun, dynamic and colorful fashion. Her menswear brand is original, young, with floral and printed motifs. Paul & Joe was a great success. In 1996, she created a women's collection aimed at a discerning clientele who love beauty and elegance, and want to look their best.

A few years later, in 2002, Sophie Méchaly launched a cosmetics line under the name Paul & Joe Beauté. Bags, shoes, eyeglass frames and lingerie complete the Paul & Joe product range.

In 2006, Sophie Méchaly designed a collection for young girls called Paul & John Sister. She wanted it to be chic, casual and affordable. This new creation is the little sister of the two older models, offering fresh, cheerful fashion. All Paul & John Sister garments are designed for women to pick and choose from the pieces of their younger siblings. this is complemented by shoes and accessories.

The designer doesn't stop there: in 2012, she continues her adventure with a collection dedicated to children under the name Little Paul & Joe. Over the years, Paul & Joe eyewear for women, men and children has met with enormous success in France and abroad, first in the United States, then in Japan, and now all over the world.
