The BA&SH brand was created in 2003 by two friends, Sharon Krief and Barbara Boccara. Although they met at the age of 17, it wasn't until they were 33 that they decided to launch their own ready-to-wear brand. Before that, Sharon had studied law and Barbara worked in a public relations agency. It wasn't long before they named their brand BA&SH, a combination of the first two letters of their first names. Both passionate about fashion, it didn't take long for the products they sold to become a huge success, enabling them to open their first boutique in Paris in 2004. They set up shop at 80 rue des Saints Pères in the 7th arrondissement. The two designers offered original, feminine and luxurious pieces, all at a very affordable price. New pieces appeared every season: pants, long dresses, maxi sweaters and shirts. In 2007, a new store opened in Marseille, followed by others all over France. In 2008, their boutique went online. In 2015, the brand, which had grown enormously, joined forces with the L Catterton fund, which acquired a 50% stake. BA&SH now covers 60 points of sale in France, before expanding into Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg. In 2017, the brand multiplies its openings in the United States and Asia. Today, more than 400 boutiques welcome women customers around the world.
