Paul and Joe sunglasses

The Paul and Joe brand was created by the talented Sophie Albou - Méchaly, a designer born in Paris. While her parents founded the shirt brand Le Garage in the 80s, the young girl, aged just 13, attended school. After her baccalaureate, she studied management at the Sorbonne, then at the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM). Sophie Méchaly began her professional career in 1983 working with the great Franco-Tunisian stylist and couturier Azzedine Alaïa, then working with her parents, but soon wishing to create her own brand.

Sophie Méchaly took the plunge and founded her company under the names of her two sons: Paul and Joe. Wishing to stand out from the current trend for darker colors, she offers her customers colorful, fun, dynamic and youthful fashion. Sophie Méchaly has since created a second brand, Paul and Joe Sister. The latter is aimed at young girls who want a casual-chic look. In 2009, the designer entered the world of eyewear. Today, all Paul and Joe products are sold and recognized all over the world in various boutiques and points of sale.

Paul and Joe sunglasses for an elegant look

There's no doubt that sunglasses are the best way to protect yourself from the sun. However, the Paul and Joe label reconciles practicality and elegance. To achieve this, Sophie Méchaly stays true to the image of her ready-to-wear brand. Her sunglasses are colorful, chic and trendy. The Paul and Joe sunglasses collections feature original materials and a veritable festival of colors. The women's sunglasses models are bold, elegant and always full of freshness. The Érine 21 collection for women, for example, is available in a butterfly shape in red, offering a vintage style. The acetate material creates multiple effects. As for the men's models, they reveal a very trendy style, turned towards both old and new fashions. The Paul and Joe Écaille Skar 01 models are proof of this. Aviator-shaped and vintage-inspired, they are made entirely of acetate. All Paul and Joe sunglasses, for children aged 6 to 12, women and men, are made in France.

Paul and Joe sunglasses for effective protection

While wearing sunglasses has become a reflex, there are two good reasons why this gesture is far from trivial. The first is that sunglasses form a barrier against the sun's reflection and UV rays. Sunglasses filter the sun's rays and protect the retina, lens and cornea. The second reason is safety and comfort. Wearing sunglasses means you're no longer fighting glare. For your safety, choose sunglasses according to your activity: walking, sport, driving... Finally, select the filtration index best suited to the use you intend to make of your sunglasses.
