Handcrafted luxury eyewear made from high-quality materials
High-end eyewear and sunglasses frames are historically designed and manufactured in Italy. This is how David BECKHAM brought success to his brand. Luxury sunglasses are characterized by their choice of materials. They are distinguished by their robustness, durability, aesthetics and comfort.
An eyewear style with prestigious finishes
The first DB Eyewear collection of sunglasses and optical frames was launched in January 2020. Since then, one collection has followed another. They are designed and manufactured in collaboration between the former footballer and world leader Safilo, an Italian craftsman and eyewear manufacturer. David BECKHAM's eyewear and sunwear bring together a timeless British style. Each collection is inspired by a different city, playing with shapes, materials and colors. You'll find frames in pilot, square, rectangular and round shapes. Metal and acetate materials are light and comfortable to wear. As for sunglasses lenses, they include a palette of harmonious colors: tortoiseshell, brown, blue, gold, silver, black, red. The frames offer a sense of comfort and elegance to wearers.
Sunglasses lenses protect your eyes from UV rays
The function of sunglasses lenses is to filter UV rays to limit the sun's glare. There are several categories of filtering lenses. Category 1 filters out up to 90% of UV rays and 20-60% of visible light. Category 2 filters out up to 95% of UV rays and 60-80% of visible light. Category 3 filters out 98% of UV and 80-90% of visible light. Category 4 filters out 99% of UV and 90-95% of visible light. This last category should only be used in extreme sunlight conditions, such as mountaineering. Driving is not recommended with these lenses. Polarized sun lenses reduce the glare caused by light reflecting off snow and water. Anti-reflective lenses reduce the amount of light entering the lens. All available on request.
