About eyeglasses
Is the sale of prescription eyewear (frames + lenses) authorized on the Internet?
The sale of prescription glasses over the Internet is perfectly legal. Existing for several years, it is facilitated in particular by the Hamon law, a law passed on February 13, 2014. This law encourages the online sale of eyewear and requires ophthalmologists to include the value of their patients' pupillary distance on the prescription they issue. This information is essential for quality optical fittings and maximum visual comfort.
What's more, your Mymonture online optician complies with the requirements of the French national health insurance and public health codes, as well as the E-commerce regulations of the Direction Générale de la Concurrence, de la Consommation et de la Répression des Fraudes (DGCCRF).
Finally, our qualified opticians are on hand to answer your questions, advise you, help you and guide you through the whole process, from frame selection to lens treatments and more.
Are my glasses reimbursed and covered by French national health insurance and/or my supplementary health insurance providers?
Your Mymonture online optician has a FINESS number: 622608339 and is therefore approved for reimbursement of your purchases by French national health insurance and/or supplementary health insurance providers, just like a traditional store.
In addition, we are registered with the Fichier National des Professionnels de Santé (FINPS) under number 23637, and are an approved supplier to the Nord-Picardie health insurance scheme under number 21261, which guarantees French national health insurance approval.
All your optical equipment (prescription glasses, reading glasses, sunglasses, corrective lenses) is therefore reimbursed by French national health insurance and supplementary health insurance providers, provided you give us your prescription in advance.
How do I get reimbursed?
The procedure is identical to that of a traditional optician.
When we send you your frames, we enclose in your parcel the documents required for reimbursement, i.e. a healthcare reimbursement form signed by our optician and 2 invoices (one for you and one for your supplementary health insurance providers).
There are two possible scenarios:
French national health insurance takes care of teletransmission with your supplementary health insurance providers
On receipt of your Mymonture package, simplysend your healthcare reimbursement form and a copy of your prescription directly to your French national health insurance center, which will in turn forward these documents to your supplementary health insurance providers. Once you have been reimbursed by French national health insurance, your supplementary health insurance providers will reimburse you up to the fixed amount.
French national health insurance does not handle teletransmission with your supplementary health insurance providers
On receipt of your Mymonture package, simply send your healthcare reimbursement form and a copy of your prescription to your French national health insurance center. Then send your invoice to your supplementary health insurance providers. Once the French national health insurance has reimbursed you, your supplementary health insurance providers will reimburse you up to the fixed amount.
How do you adjust the frame to the shape of my face?
At Mymonture, all glasses are pre-adjusted to fit the majority of wearers. However, if you'd like an adjustment identical to your current frame, you can send it to us by post so that we can calibrate the frames (temple height, axis, etc.).
What's more, when you order prescription eyewear on our website, we use your pupillary distance and the photographs you send us to make the adjustments. For progressive lenses, we use our photo software to measure your pupillary distance.
However, if you have any problems adjusting your frames (glasses too tight or sliding down your nose), you can contact our opticians for advice.
Do you have third-party payment?
mymonture.com is the only online optometrist to offer online third-party payment for all supplementary health insurance providers and networks. Thanks to our certification by BUREAU VERITAS CERTIFICATION on December 4, 2019. As an optician, we are partners of closed networks and supplementary health insurance providers.
I really like my current frames. Can I change only my lenses?
Your Mymonture online optician can change the lenses on your current frame for as little as €39 and, if you wish, add new options (refinement, coating, protection, etc.) It's very easy:
- Fill in the lens replacement configuration form and validate your basket.
- Then send us your frame and prescription by post to 13 rue Montjoie, 62280 Saint Martin Boulogne, France.
- On receipt of your frame, our opticians will mount your new lenses.
- Once the fitting is complete, our opticians will send you your frame with your new lenses, together with the necessary documents for your French national health insurance and/or supplementary health insurance providers reimbursements.

Can I get a quote for glasses adapted to my eyesight?
Of course you can.
How do you manage to offer such attractive prices?
Your Mymonture online optician's main objective is your satisfaction. That's why we strive to offer you the true price of glasses (frame + lenses).
Our policy is to offer our customers the best price while maintaining the same service and quality as a traditional optician. You'll also find the same prices in our showrooms in Boulogne sur Mer, Dunkerque, Ouverture, Lille and Nationale.
However, "attractive prices" does not mean "poor quality". In fact, all our products come directly from the distributors of the biggest brands. Our frames are therefore authentic and of the highest quality.
Finally, we remain transparent about the price of our frames, clearly indicating the price of all the options we offer. So, depending on your budget and your desires, you'll be able to select the treatments that best suit your needs and the comfort of your vision.
I'm having problems with my glasses (fitting problems, defects, loss of vision, etc.). What should I do?
After-sales service: After-sales service is handled directly in our workshops. If you encounter a problem with your frame, please contact our Customer Service department either by e-mail at serviceclient@mymonture.com or by telephone on 03 21 91 40 40 so that they can help you.
Fitting guarantee: you have one month to take advantage of our fitting guarantee. This guarantee applies to all our lenses. However, in the event of unsuitability for progressive lenses, we will offer you a replacement solution.
Please note: Our frames are guaranteed to be 100% compliant with your prescription and the pupillary distance provided. If, however, you have difficulty adapting to your new optical equipment, we invite you to consult your ophthalmologist again to check that the corrections previously prescribed are suited to your visual needs.
Lost screw: you can go directly to one of our partner opticians, who will replace the lost screw. If you wish, they can also adjust your frame, free of charge.
