Ophtalmic Sweet contact lenses

Founded in 1986 by Charli Tamsot, Ophtalmic is a French company. the founder's original idea was to create a new concept. He wanted to act as an intermediary between opticians and manufacturers of lenses and contact lens care products. The aim was to cut costs by offering a single point of contact. In 1994, the laboratory launched its first lens care solution, Jazz Aquasilk, a multifunctional solution for soft lenses. In 1996, Ophtalmic produced its first brand of monthly contact lenses, Ophtalmic 55, and in 2011, renamed Ophtalmic compagnie, created 5 business divisions. Since then, numerous lens ranges have been launched, including Ophtalmic Sweet lenses.

Ophtalmic Sweet lenses: spheric, toric, progressive

The Ophtalmic laboratory offers three types of Sweet lenses: spheric, toric and progressive. All three are designed for fortnightly wear, and are made from hydrogel and silicone hydrogel. Sweet spheric lenses are designed for people with vision problems, either hyperopia (far-sightedness) or myopia (nearsightedness). All three feature 45% hydrophilicity. Their materials are ideal for dry, fragile eyes and for reducing oxygen deprivation.

For astigmatism, where brightness distorts or blurs objects, Sweet toric lenses provide oxygen permeability for fragile eyes. The advantage is that their vision is as sharp as that of glasses, for greater comfort.

Sweet progressive lenses are designed for presbyopes. sodium hyaluronate is added to silicone hydrogel to moisturize and lubricate the eye and contact lenses. This lens has the same function as progressive lenses.

Ophthalmic manufactures contact lens care products

Throughout the day, contact lenses are subjected to various deposits, such as smoke, pollution, dust, even make-up products, but above all tears. As a result, lenses contain proteins, lipids and mucus, which can lead to red, dry eyes and even eye infections. To clean contact lenses, the Ophtalmic laboratory has designed three types of lens care products: the jazz comfort pack, the aquasensitive pack and the pêroxyde pack.

The jazz comfort pack is made with two natural products: hyaluronic acid and allantoin. Hyaluronic acid is effective against dry eyes, while the two components work together to moisturize and prevent dry eyes. Jazz Confort decontaminates lenses from bacteria and fungi.

The aquasensitive pack rehydrates the lens and is ideal for sensitive eyes. This lens care product decontaminates, lubricates, rinses and moisturizes contact lenses.

The pêroxyde pack is recommended for allergy sufferers. This solution thoroughly cleans and removes all lens deposits. It decontaminates and deproteinates lenses. This pack is recommended for soft lenses. To top
