Change your lenses
Mymonture explains how you can order your lenses easily if you want to keep your current frames. How do I go about it? It's really quite simple. First, you choose the type of frame you have. You can choose between :
-pierced frame: this is when your frame is attached only by the temples and nose and has no contour. The price for fitting with lenses starts at €30.
-half-rimmed frame: this type of frame is also known as a "nylor" because the frame is supported at the bottom by a nylon thread that is invisible at first glance, giving the impression that the frame is rimmed only at the top. The price for this type of frame, with your own lenses, starts at €15.
-rimmed frame: the most common type of frame, this is simply an eyewear frame made of plastic, metal or other materials that completely encircles the lenses. The price for this type of frame, with lenses adapted to your eyesight, starts at €10.
Once you've selected the type of frame on which you'd like to mount your new, guaranteed French-origin lenses, you need to configure them.
How do I configure my lenses? First of all, you need to select the type of lens you'd like:
-Single vision lenses for distance or near vision only.
-Mid-distance or degressive lenses for optimal vision on the computer screen and at close range.
-Progressive lenses, if you're presbyopic and want sharp vision at all distances.
You can then select your correction: the sphere if you're myopic (negative sphere) or hypermetropic (positive sphere), the cylinder and axis for astigmatism, the addition if you're using a degressive lens or a progressive lens.finally, your pupillary distance (the distance between the middle of your nose bridge and the middle of each of your pupils), which will enable us to optimally center your future lenses.
You can then select the degree of thinning you want for your lenses, according to your correction. The higher the index you select, the thinner your lens will be. So, if your correction is relatively high, we advise you to increase the lens index accordingly. For semi rimmed and rimless frames, we even recommend using a 1.6 index lens, which will be more attractive and more resistant than a 1.5 index lens.
To finalize your order, you can choose the treatment you're interested in. We have all types of treatment, from basic (simple hardened) to Blue Clear (multi-option and anti-reflective, blue-light resistant), which will give you complete satisfaction.
Once you've completed the various options for configuring your new corrective lenses, we'll send you a pre-paid label so you can send us your frame.
The pre-paid label is only valid for orders from metropolitan France.
Once we've received your parcel in our warehouse, we order the lenses you've selected, then fit them into your frame, taking care to check the various parameters involved.
Once the fitting is complete, we send your frame back to you with its brand-new lenses and all the documents you'll need for reimbursement, i.e. the treatment form and an invoice for the lenses, which you can send to your supplementary health insurance.
