Mountain bike and cycling eyewear

Whether you're a professional or amateur cyclist, it's important for your safety to have mountain bike glasses. They'll help you identify risks more quickly than with a simple pair of sports glasses. Cycling goggles are your best ally!

Protection from the sun, but not only...

Why do mountain bikers need special cycling glasses? If My Monture has selected eyewear for your favorite sport, mountain biking, it's primarily to protect your eyes from the sun, wind and rain. But that's not all! When you're out cycling, you'll come across small insects, dust, pebbles and other projectiles that can injure your eyes. So it's imperative to wear glasses when you're on the move. That's why My Monture has selected a range of mountain bike eyewear for you. The glasses available on our site are for both men and women, and some are perfectly suited to both sexes. They can be adapted to your eyesight, provide protection from the sun only, or are designed primarily for sports such as cycling. Choose from rimmed or half-rimmed, sporty or trendy styles. Several frame shapes are available: rectangular, round, aviator (a metal frame above the lenses) and wayfarer (a mix of retro and urban style). However, if you're an avid cyclist, the best protection is still a goggle shape.

Optimize your performance with cycling eyewear

Brands selected by MyMonture for cycling athletes

Oakley is an American brand, founded in 1975 by Jim Jannard. He was the first to equip cyclists with sunglasses to protect them from UV rays. Oakley's sunglasses can be adapted to your eyesight, and are both rimmed and mask-shaped. They offer good protection. You can choose between two indexes: 2 and 3.

The Julbo brand was created in 1888 in the Jura region of France. Its founder, Sévère Bourgeois, began by manufacturing eyewear to protect stonemasons. Today, the brand specializes in sports glasses. The special feature of the lenses is that they are anti-fog and aleophobic, which helps water to slide off.

Vuarnet was founded in 1957 and is a French brand. It was the result of research by two students. In 1960, Jean Vuarnet won a gold medal in French skiing. he then joined forces with optician Roger Pouilloux. The glasses are full coverage, round, rectangular or aviator-shaped. Most of the lenses are mineral, with anti-reflective coating and an index 3 for optimum protection.

Comfortable and resistant, mountain bike goggles are perfectly suited to your sporting activities. Protecting your eyes from a variety of pests (dust, insects, drafts, sun), they offer optimum vision comfort. Lightweight and shapely, mountain bike goggles need to be perfectly fitted to your face.
