What are single vision lenses? Also known as single vision lenses, these are lenses with a single correction zone, which are treated to correct a visual defect such as myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism. Prescribed by your ophthalmologist, single vision lenses are simply corrective lenses that treat a single visual disorder, unlike bifocal or trifocal lenses, which correct several visual disorders at once.

Single vision lenses are generally suitable for people under 40, but can be prescribed to correct presbyopia in people over 40. They have the advantage of being lightweight and adaptable to all types of spectacle frames.
