Progressive lenses

From around the age of 40, the lens of the human eye loses its flexibility. This makes it difficult to read or see objects at close range. Your ophthalmologist will prescribe progressive or multifocal lenses. A progressive or multifocal lens has 3 vision zones on the same lens: one for distance vision, one for intermediate vision and one for near vision. Priority is given to distance and near vision, as these are the visions most frequently used on a daily basis. Progressive lenses are often recommended for uninterrupted wear from morning to night.
