Choosing the right lens refinement

Lens refinement is an important step in your choice of equipment. The thinner the lens, the more aesthetic and comfortable your equipment will be.

Thinner lenses reduce the weight of your equipment and improve your field of vision. The deformation of the eye induced by the value of your correction is reduced, and you retain a more natural look.

Thinned lenses add strength to your equipment. Thin or very thin lenses are recommended for pierced or half-rimmed frames.

- If your correction is weak (sphere between -2 and +2) and/or your frame is rimmed, our Opticians recommend standard lenses (index 1.5).

- If your correction is medium (sphere between -4 and -2 or +2 and +4) and/or your frame is half-rimmed/drilled, our Opticians recommend slimmed lenses (index 1.6).

- If your correction is strong (sphere between -6 and -4 or +4 and +6) and/or your frame is half-rimmed/drilled, our Opticians recommend very thin lenses (index 1.67).

- Beyond the above-mentioned corrections, our opticians recommend ultra-thin lenses (index 1.74).
