The 2014 trends

As we all know, eyewear has long been on the sidelines. Now we're embracing them! Now they're a fashion accessory that's well worth wearing. To be mixed and matched with your outfits, eyewear has become a must-have for every occasion. Optical or sunglasses, colored or monochrome, sober or eccentric, wooden or metal, round or square, there's something for every taste. Impossible for you not to find what you're looking for. Mymonture.com invites you to discover the 2014 trends that will perfect your look. So, which glasses are you going to adopt?

The colors

Flashy, fluorescent colors: this year, we're going for flashy colors that will give your look a boost. Pink, yellow, citrus, green, we'll dare anything! Colored eyewear will bring a touch of cheerfulness to your look, making it more vitaminized than ever. Pastel colors: light colors are also in the spotlight this year. Beige, romantic blue, lavender blue, water green, parma, light grey - all these colors will soften your features and add a touch of romance to every look.

Animal print: it's sure to give you a wild side that will make passers-by roar. Zebra, leopard, tiger, snake, crocodile, panther... all the animals of the jungle are here. Animal print is perfect for bold, style-conscious women ready to take on the urban jungle that surrounds them. Patchwork: this is one of the big trends of this fall 2014. It's all about matching and combining colors with different patterns for an explosive cocktail. For example, yellow glasses with leopard temples. It was a daring move, but the effect is guaranteed! Transparency: this year, we're also playing with transparency. Frames are colored to reveal the materials of the temples. On sunglasses or optics, transparency can be adapted to any frame and will enhance your face.

The styles

Retro style: this is THE style in vogue this year! Retro style will give your look a touch of vintage. Modernized to perfection, the lines are very designer, with lots of roundness. As for the colors, whether tortoiseshell, black or acidic, they'll delight the style of these vintage glasses. Most often made from revisited plastic, retro eyewear is this season's must-have. Gentlemen can opt for the ever-fashionable pilot shape or double-bridge glasses. Oversize style: always in fashion, oversize glasses are a basic. The lenses are very large, which is why they don't suit everyone.

Materials

The 2014 collections are full of surprises. When it comes to materials, the most innovative this year are undoubtedly paper, wood, leather and horn. Noble, sophisticated materials that will perfect your look and enhance your face.

Glasses

A major trend in 2013, mirror-effect lenses are back again this year. New tints have also made their debut in the new collections. Reflections can be blue, tan, brown, green or gray. There's something for every taste and every color!

Safe bet

If you're afraid of taking the plunge with bold colors and eccentric shapes, then rectangular and/or slightly rounded optical and sunglasses are a safe bet for all types of eyes. As for colors, you can opt for black, white, gray or tortoiseshell. Sober colors that make an impact. When it comes to materials, acetate and plastic remain the chic, safe bet.
